Reduce noise for my home workouts
Hey there! I moved house a few months ago and love the property, it's great. However, my neighbours (to whom my house is attached) are very noise sensitive. Whilst I can barely hear them, one of them works nights, so sleeps during the day. I try to be a very considerate neighbour, I avoid talking loudly, or slamming doors.…

Is this workout routine any good?
Hi, I've started going back to the gym after many months due to lockdown. Trying to get the belly and moobs off. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to fitness, but I have been doing a certain routine and just wanted to see if this is sensible. One day, I will lift weights for my arms and shoulders (machine weights…

Hi Has anyone else been contacted about this. It basically locks in the current monthly price, less 30% for 10 years in one upfront payment. Any thoughts?

Good fitness tracker for under £150 recommendations please
My 3 year old Garmin Vivofit 3 has bitten the dust. It keeps resetting itself and the button to scroll through the displays has got stuck. What I loved about the GV3 was it ran on a button battery which was brilliant as only required changing 10-12 months. I am now probably have to resort to one with that needs charging up…

Fitbit alternative
Had a fitbit, it's crap: Syncs to my phone ok as app confirms, trying to connect GPS, doesn't work (GPS on for phone and fitbit), keeps saying launch app or not found. Now smashed and in bin. Any alternatives? Must have GPS and a countdown timer - that buzzes so I know when to start walking/running.

Running only 4 miles a week - do I need to bother with expensive running shoes?
Planning to start doing a 2 mile run on pavement twice a week, started last week and can do it in about 20 mins (I know, poor, hoping to get to 16 mins and will be satisfied with that). Finding my sturdy hiking trainers to be more comfortable than my cheap Nike running shoes which left me with sore ankles the next day.…

Walking boots - leather vs fabric
Hi guys, I’m looking to buy some walking boots and can’t decide on whether to get fabric or leather? I’d preferably want some that are waterproof-ish, and I would be looking to do most of my walking / hiking during summer (or just when it’s not absolutely pouring down in rain) Can you guys recommend any and if so why?…

FITSWATCH
Do not buy. I bought 1 just over a week ago and although charged and I downloaded app which connected, it said move your wrist and it will work. Guess what it disconnected itself. After numerous emails first they offered me 50% refund - for a useless fit watch. Eventually they said I could return it but to the USA - costs…

12 month gym contract - now being extended due to lockdown - is that allowed?
Hi all, Just after some advice please. I joined a gym in February last year at the recommendation of my physio to help with post op rehab - so coronavirus was in the news but not at all a big concern in the UK at the time, certainly no clue of the upcoming lockdowns etc. Of course the gym has ended up being closed as much…

Polar HRM troubleshooting
I have two Polar HRMs - one a five year old FT4 and the other a 25(!) year old Accurex II Nightvision. I use both of them because they have different functions and as I'm on MSE forums I'm not going to spend stupid money on whatever the latest all singing all dancing model is! Before contacting Polar direct I thought I'd…

Frustration of gym membership due to recent coronavirus developments (David Lloyd)?
Hello, I joined David Lloyd in October before the second national lockdown and before there was any public knowledge of the latest mutant strains of coronavirus which have seen cases and deaths grow exponentially and have required a total indefinite lockdown. I have been unable to use the membership for more than a week or…

Cheap winter running gear recommendations
I could do with a new pair of (womens) leggings and a 1/2 zip, long sleeved top for running. They're only temporary whilst my existing wardrobe is a bit snug so I can breathe properly :o which means I don't want to spend a lot. I love my existing Under Armour Cold Gear, but it's looking like £60+ for the two items right…
