Meal plans
Hi. Just wondering if anyone can point me towards good reference sites for meal plans for exercise. Or do you know any app that can count calorie? I think this kind of app will help me lose weight by eating the foods I like. Thank you in advance

The Gym Group Live It membership
Hi just wanted to clarify a question about the Live It level of membership at The Gym. This is the level where you can select 5 gyms to use. I think you can use another gym that costs the same as your home gym as many times as you like, but if you use a gym that normally costs more than your home gym they will up your…

Nutrition / hydration on half marathon
I took up wheelchair racing relatively recently and did my first half marathon a couple of weeks ago. I found I ran out of energy 2/3 round, although I’d done plenty of training. I really wanted to try an energy gel at the station that had them but with the crazy gloves on I had no chance. Reading other threads it sounds…

Replacement for FitBit
I had a FitBit Charge 2 which was fine but when I upgraded to a Charge 3, after a few months of wear I got a horrible itchy rash and contacted FitBit with a few photos etc. who agreed to refund me. I'm not wanting to go back to the Charge 2 because of the lack of swim tracking; just wondering if anyone has any…

Heat or Cold Therapy for Gym soreness? (DOMS)
Hi. Wondering if anyone knows if I can use heat or Cold to ease DOMS from my gym work outs? I got heat pads (one with beans inside that I can microwave) and also a cool compress pack available (from previous unrelated injury). Not sure if heat or cold is best? I know cold is For inflammation normally. Thanks

I ran 42km for a Tiffany necklace
Anybody remember 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' by Deep Blue Something? "And I said, what about a necklace from Tiffany's? She said, I think I, remember I've bills and as I recall, I said you can run 42km for it, and what she said, can't be repeated in print!" :rotfl: Did you know there's a marathon in Japan where you can get a…

Smartwatch with inbuilt gps
I would very much appreciate some help to choose a suitable smartwatch that has an inbuilt gps, so I don’t have to carry a phone with me. I am 70 years of ago, so unlikely to want to use it for lots of uses, but I do like to walk off track with my dogs. I have saved up some John Lewis vouchers, so would like to buy from…

Withings
I’m looking at buying a fitness tracker as much for style than anything else. As I have their scales I’ve been looking at either Withings Steel HR or Steel HR Sport. Now as someone whose not into pumping steel, or getting ready for the next big marathon I know I don’t really need the Sport, though it does have that little…

Physio and knees/hips
I used to run for many many years, doing 10 km twice a week, but it took a toll on my knees. So for the last 3 years I've ice skated, and I now also do some gym each week. As a result my knees are much stronger and I no longer get the severe pain I once had. Anyway, I can skate on one leg, and lower myself down by bending…

Martin: 'I'm setting up a new £1 a month gym...'
I’ve had a great business idea. A brand new super-cheap gym chain. I’ve been inspired by the many people I meet, who admit they pay for their gym membership but never actually go, as one woman (who'll remain anonymous) said "paid £270 for a year's membership, went for one swim. Most expensive swim ever.” Most do it out of…

Running shoe sizing
I recently started wearing Brooks Adrenaline GTS 19, initially standard D width but they skinned my little toe so sent them back and got 2E width. I've always worn half a size bigger than my dress shoe size but have found that my toes are stubbing when running downhill with the big toe now being bruised. Does this mean…
