diy store sales for Easter
I haven't noticed any adverts yet for the big stores having Easter discounts. It's only a week away and I don't want to make a major purchase and find that it's cheaper next weekend. Has anyone any knowledge of up and coming sales in, e.g. Homebase, B&Q etc?

Amazon Marketplace
I ordered some batteries for the firm I work for on my personal Amazon account (so paid for on my credit card) from an Amazon Marketplace seller on 23rd February, which I still haven't received. The very longest delivery date stipulated was 2nd March. I did get an email via Amazon on 25th February saying my order had been…

Anyone used photovideodirect.co.uk?
Billed as an Australian company with UK offices. Quite obviously grey import goods. There's a Tokina DLSR lens I want that hasn't been released in the UK after months of waiting, and still no sign of a launch date here. I've been seriously considering importing (maybe from Digital Rev) but the above website's price is…

Amazon logic
Bought 2 items and the total came yp £19.65, to qualify for free p&p I added a 40p ruler to bring it over £20. Well looks like something went wrong with the pick so they couldn't add the ruler. So they sent the two items I wanted and postponed the ruler for later delivery. So for a 40p item they will spend another £2-£3…

Buying a Smart TV?
Intending buyers of smart TVs should be aware that Microsoft are/have withdrawn support for SKYPE on smart TVs. So probably no more free video calls on the big screen as TV manufacturers delete the SKYPE app. Samsung is one that has already decided to stop supporting Skype from June 2nd 2016. I now have a Samsung webcam…

How much money did I make from Tesco?
Sorry to be so thick but I'm having a slow day and can't get my head around this... I bought a product from Tesco that cost me £17.50 except it scanned and we paid £35 for it. Am I right in thinking that because they give double-the-difference back, I got £17.50 x 2 = £35.... Making it free?!

Displayed price?
I was in a shop that displayed a product at a price which magically became more when I came to pay. Having been told the price on the item was wrong and they couldn't sell it at that price, I had to leave the item or get into an argument. I left the item. Does anyone know what my rights were in that case? :(

refused refund on unsuitable curtains
Hi, this my first post, here goes, hope I'm in the right place! Having just moved house in January, went to Linens Direct, bought three pairs curtains, used two sets, decided the third pair wasn't suitable for the purpose I'd bought them for....very cold hall with draughty windows and front door. It was freezing weather,…

Hotpoint tumble dryer
I found out that my Hotpoint vented tumble dryer was recalled because of a possible fault (it may set on fire) so I was offered a repair date of May or I could buy a special offer priced condensing tumble dryer for £99 instead of £299. Seemed like a bargain so I ordered it & it was delivered on March 1st. Put some washing…

Anyone used modern.co.uk for furniture?
Modern.co.uk seem to have decently priced sofas in the style we're looking for (compared with John Lewis etc) - BUT they don't have a showroom (so no testing for comfort which is quite important!) Anyone used them? They have a 7-day return policy but obviously I am quite dubious as I haven't heard of them before. With a…
