Every town/area should have an "acts of kindness Facebook page where people give stuff away for free to avoid good stuff being thrown away like [Freegle] In fact it should be made law. I bought a special cake for Xmas which the supermarket said would be guaranteed fresh until 26th Dec. but on Xmas Day found it had a Use By date of 25th Dec.We'd already planned to use it on Boxing Day for a party, so had to revise our menu plans. I complained online and, when no reply was received complained in store. I…

Help please. Am at my wits end.
I am here after many years of absence. There used to be dispute resolution facility on this site where one could attempt to resolve a dispute with participating entities. Is it still in existence? I have a dispute with Santander and would like to resolve it without ending up in a court.

My ex-friend paid me back!
Last month I asked for advice over a former friend who didn’t pay me back over an errand and travel, I accepted that she would not pay me back, but today she paid me back. I never thought she would. It took a while, but I’m glad I have closure.

One of our unsung covid heroes
I live in an old cottage with a low water flow due to being on a shared supply and getting a washer to work is tricky. So I have always used the launderette in the local town. However being CEV and immunosuppressed with a chronic autoimmune lung condition, I've been shielding due to covid and the launderette has been off…

ATG Tickets - good news
I had booked theatre tickets for my mums 80th birthday but she has come down with Covid. Even if she is negative by the date of the show (this coming Saturday) she probably won't be up to it. I asked ATG to rearrange the tickets for the following week and they did so without any queries or quibbles.

Random acts of kindness.
Love hearing about these. I love to get food for those in doorways. On our return from abroad we gave our entire larder, fridge, and freezer contents to a local hard-up family. Just makes you feel good to do something good for someone. I'd love to be super-rich and go around handing out money to those in tricky situations.…

Running - And a random act of kindness!
So just before Christmas, I went out for a run! The stresses of family not talking to me much after the passing of mum in July, was back at the forefront of my mind. Ironically, the stress was back as one of my sisters had a go at me over a text message. So off I go for a run. Just before mile 1.7, I saw a lady with a…
