Airport Parking Scams
I cannot find anything on MSE about this, which really surprises me ... I have been subject to abuse and fraud re airport parking and would like to know the best way for a group challenge to this sector. The company/companies in question are Airport Parking Essentials Ltd and Park Direct Gatwick Ltd. This second company…

Halfords nightmare
I took my ebike (non halfords) for a inner tube replacement on the rear wheel. Cut a story short they messed it up and ended ripping the motor wires in effect killing it. The good thing is halfords have accepted liability but they are going about it awkwardly. I asked for a like for like electric bike as a replacementwhile…

Any recommendations for good bicycle insurance?
Hi all. I'm just looking through MSE for bicycle insurance for my son, and I thought I'd ask if anyone has any recommendations for any? Haven't bought any since I was cycling (about 12 years ago now) so I've lost track of the good/bad etc. Anyone got any recent good - or bad - experience to share? :)

London Rail
I'm travelling from Biggleswade to London 02 on Saturday 15th June and coming back to Biggleswade from London on Sunday 16th June. I just wanted to check on what is the cheapest way to do this. Would it be cheaper to buy 2 singles to London for each day and use an oyster card on both days through London? Or would it be…

Train companies make it difficult to take bike when cyclists are potential good customers
Cyclists cannot get coaches or buses. So if they want to take their bike somewhere the ONLY thing they can do is get the train and buy a train ticket. This potentially makes them good customers that the train companies would want to encourage surely? So why,do they make it difficult and painful to get the train with a bike?

Cheap train tickets
Having booked a celebratory two night stay in London we were horrified to discover how much the train fares were - £204 for two returns from Dorset to London. We rarely use the train so no point in buying a rail card. I guessed there must be an answer to the problem on this site and discovered Trainsplit. Their quote was…

ScotRail 10 ticket FlexiPass expire after a month
I have been purchasing FlexiPass tickets (10 singles) for my journeys between Glasgow and Edinburgh (2 or 3 times a week). I did not travel for a few weeks recently and then discovered that despite having 7 tickets remaining, the FlexiPass had expired. It seems that FlexiPass tickets are only valid for 1 month. On…

Two Together railcard
Does anybody have experience of this card ? I discovered, trawling through MSE, that you can use £10 worth of Tesco vouchers to get "free" railcards - so we went for the TT option. At first it wasn't completely clear (to me at least) what the terms and conditions covered - but now I think I have a handle on the key…

Contactless or Oyster monthly ticket?
I could do some advice here. I currently use a monthly ticket costing me £194 a month to travel within zones 1-4 for my commute. I also like to pop into the museums in London on a Friday and go into the town centre to pick up my groceries on the weekend via the bus. When I'm off, I like to bum around the sights of London…

Repaying full journey
Should they refund the lot? I bought a split ticket, the journey was delayed meaning I missed the final connection and was Taxied home. the train company has only offered to refund the cost of one portion. I thought they were supposed to refund the lot.

Sky scanner for trains?
I’ve got a random day off next week- woulike to go somewhere for a day out on the train but being late notice it’s pricey. Is there the equivalent of Skyscanner but for trains so I could but the date in and just see what the prices were to different destinations without specifying one?

RedSpottedHanky receipt
I have some RedSpottedHanky credit that I need to use by mid-July, but the only train travel I'm likely to make is for work. Ordinarily I buy a walk-up ticket, and then the next day I give the receipt to the Finance Department at work, who reimburse me. If I instead buy from RedSpottedHanky and collect the tickets from the…

Trains to Edinburgh
I'm buying Advance tickets to Edinburgh for a small group of people, going up on Aug 3 and returning on Aug 11. It seems that the Advance tickets to Edinburgh on Aug 3 go on sale tomorrow, but I apparently can't get return tickets. Last year, someone else got the tickets and they cost about £50 each, but just the singles…
