Delay Repay- Who do I ask?

I bought train tickets today on the virgin app
My train journey started with London Northwestern and ended with Cross Country

The delay was on the cross country route- I am not sure who to make the claim for- I was delayed over 2 hours on what should have been a 50 minute journey

Any help please

Provide exact details of the journey and it makes it easier to advise (times, route and company for each leg, when and where the delay occurred).

In general you claim against the company providing the service which lead to the delay.

If the London Northwestern train arrived in time for you to make the connection to the Cross Country train, then you claim from Cross Country.

If you missed the Cross Country train because the London Northwestern train was delayed, then you claim from London Northwestern.
