Free / Cheap evening & weekend calls for NTL user.
Hi, I have just started a new job that requires me to make about 7-10 hours of calls to landlines each month from home. I am currently on NTL's standard 3-2-1 package. I understand that they do a package called Talk Unlimited whereby I can get all my evening and weekend calls for free. I am just wondering if there is some…

BT landline connection / internet access
I have just joined the 21st century and bought myself a laptop. The next step is to get internet access at home. Initially, until I know how much I'm going to be using it, I'm going to go with a cheap dial-up service such as Firefly or Fast4. However, to get any access at all, I first need a live landline... I've lived in…

Talk Talk using 1899 and other carriers ?
I am giving Talk Talk some more serious thought with the suggestion that it will offer free broadband. I assume that low costs routings such as 1899 are barred by Talk Talk but I just wanted to check exactly what the position is if anyone knows; using either 1899, an 0800 number or a a geographic dial-in number. Also, are…

"Free' Caller Display and Firefly
I've been told by BT that my current Caller Display is only free for as long as I get my calls through them- not just my line rental. They got very shirty when I tried to get them to clarify- ie. If I dial only 1 call through them in a rental period- would that qualify or not? Anyway- as I'm due to be switching to Primus…

Homecall - Premium Rate Call Pricing!
Just to let you know that not only do Homecall charge more than the advertised rate for a premium call, but they also LIE about why they do. Just spoke to them about calls made and they told me the reason they charge more is because BT get a discount on premium rate calls, which of course is a load of rubbish. The Icstis…

OneTel Now TT Cable Customers using smart box/0800 access.
A customer of mine is a Cable Customer and asked Talk Talk if they were going to accept cable customers via smart box,as they had taken over Onetel who offered this facility. He was told NO. They are going to leave existing ex Onetel customers using cable as they were. But do not intend to take on any new cable customers.

Get FREE NTL Line Rental if Broadband is not available in your area
I have a NTL line and no BT line to my house. Although NTL do provide the phone line they are not able to provide Broadband/Cable TV to my area. Call divert option
Hi, My line is with BT (option1) and I have all calls routed through through Primus (24x7). If I go away and want to put my calls on divert (say to my mobile) - would I contact BT or Primus to do this. I suspect it's BT as they provide the line but if someone can confirm this for me I'd be grateful. Thanks, Rybo

NTL won't talk
We decided to leave NTL (TV and phone) to get a BT line and freeview. No problems I thought, just call the companies and tell them I want to leave and join. Put it all in writing - no problems. Well that's what I thought until two months later and NTL continue to bill us. Admin error I thought and called them to sort it…

Good Morning I notice that 18185 are as cheap as 1899 and a better option for me having to call Denmark regularly, so do you think there is no need to sign up with 1899 for weekday landline as 18185 have free calls. I have signed with Primus for evening and weekend free calls, so do i just need to sign up with 18185 for…

Is it worth switching to BT?
Hi, I am on NTL using the Orchid Dialler for the 1899 service, but the price for calls has gone up to 1p per minute and the BT rate is still free and you get more services with BT. So is it worth switching, they are not going to increase the rates for BT customers as well are they?
