Bring BT bill down.

I have just got my quartletly bill from BT......£190

Painful.

I have two lines one for business and one for home, bt broadband 2meg and now a large hole in not only my pocket but my business aswell.

Any ideas as to where to start looking at reducing this?

Any help gratefully accepted.

Welcome to the MSE forums phrakie.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.
  • phrakie.... heinz has all the right moves to make to minimise bt costs.

I also work from home but actually now make hardly any calls from my landline ... i just buy mobile deals with lots of crossnetwork anytime minutes and with cashback offers.

You can still get deals from "3" with 500 or 600 minutes and 10 to 12 month cashbacks

or some of the new t mobile offers .. like relax 35 which has 500 minutes and up to 12 month cashback...

or go for t mob flext 35 with 900 minutes which after selling the free handset will cost you nett under £10 a month.

And of course the mobile is a "business expense" which you can get vat back and tax relief on the bills.
