Phoning to a UK mobile abroad ?
I have looked on the MSE Callchecker and cannot find out how to search for the cheapest way of calling a UK based mobile abroad. For instance my son & family are on holiday in Cyprus and he asked me to text him with some information, which took ages. It would have been much more suitable to have called and spoken to him on…

Will Post Office repeat their £50 cashback offer?
Think this deal finished at the end of March and I am starting to wish that I had switched back then. I am currently on BT Scheme 1, but hardly ever use the phone apart from the odd dial-up (0845) internet call (wife's laptop) plus the odd 0870/0845 customer services number for my bank/sky/etc....

I purchased some credit for VOIP Discount via TEXT message (24th April). Just a heads up... BT are going to increase their charge for installing a brand new line to £124.99 (inc VAT) from £99.99 from the 1 June 2006. This will apply to both residential and business lines. As such, if anyone needs a new BT line, I suggest you order before the start of June :) Regards Sunil

NTL charges
We have an NTL phone line and want to keep our number. Does anyone know how we can get better value, either by staying with NTL or moving to a provider who will let us keep our number?
