Almost felt sorry for Talk Talk rep
Just had a young salesman from Talk Talk on the doorstep.I explained that I had just left them and he asked why. I told him it was cheaper for me to use BT line rental,Primus and 1899/18185 numbers. Told him I could also get mobile calls anytime with landline at the moment for 2p a minute with 0844.co. He didn't really…

Are NTL part of BT?
This may seem a silly question but are NTL and BT related in anyway. I ask as NTL numbers have been changed to 0845 numbers which will cost no more then 'x' from a BT land line. But surely people phoning NTL will have NTL phone lines not BT lines. I've had to call several times in the last week about problem with interent…

BT Cheaper to pay monthly or quarterly?
Read somewhere on this board that someone was paying £29.98 a quarter for line rental. Thought this odd as I understood the bog standard option was £11.00 per month. Can anyone shed any light on the matter?

Property Address from Telephone No.
This might not be in the right forum, but I'm trying to find out the address of a property, all I've got is the landline telephone number. 18866 &1899
Has anyone noticed that the number shown on phone display for incoming calls using these prefixes is 0044( no 0) then the area code plus only 5 of the 6 digits of the callers number e.g. 0044143279766(with the last digit 9missing). As a result my phone does not now recognise the number in my address book. Any comments…

I have a couple of Warnings for people regarding NTL. The other thing is after checking on my services (to try and get a discount -…

PRIMUS and calls to mobiles
I have a question regarding Primus, I am keen to sign up but thought about going for the 24/7 option (option3) but someone has pointed out that you need to be a very heavy user to justify this extra expense. So it's probably Option 2 the free weekend/evening calls. Currently am on Toucan (£9.99) which seems a tad…

A sister company of 18185 (I think; at least the website looks like that one, but it's being advertised through 1899 & 18866, so it's confusing) has just started up in Ireland, with calls to the UK being 0.5 cents/min. See https://www.13434.ie
