Thoughts on my Mortgage Repayment Vehicle using S&S ISA and or LISAs
Hi I have 3 BTL properties all on Interest only mortgages maturing roughly the same time (16 years from now). So far we have been saving £500pm into a S&S ISA invested into the S&P500 and have accumulated a pot of £65k. My initial plan was for the next 16years to up this to £750pm and see where that leaves us. It then…

Confused about Virgin ISA maturity
I have a 1 yr fixed issue 6, maturing, erm, today. I think they are saying if I do nothing it will roll into an easy access issue 3 at 4.51%Or I can fill out a form to convert it to another 1yr fix issue 16 at 4.61%. Am I loosing the plot or are both of those options quite good? But I cant find them on the best buy tables…

Stocks and shares ISA 85k protection
Can I ask how the 85k protection works for stocks and shares ISAs. I have about 85k in the HSBC world index fund and am thinking of adding more. Should I be worried as am going up the 85k protection limit. If I am thinking correctly here. Thanks

Hargreaves Lansdown S&S ISA. Over what period is the 0.45% yearly fee calculated?
As per title, Can anyone provide any clarity on how often the HL recalculate and apply their ISA fees? I'll explain my reason for asking. My wife has a Halifax S&S ISA for which she currently pays no annual fees, however making simple transactions on this account is excruciatingly slow, complicated and time consuming. This…

Virgin Transfer 'wet signature' required
Hi, I tried to transfer my £50k cash ISA from Virgin to Chip cash ISA but it was refused as Virgin do not accept transfers out of more than £30k without a 'wet signature' and Chip can't support that. Can I challenge this? Ot if I try another provider to transfer to how do I know if they support a 'wet signature'?

Trading 212 ... Chip have beef with them?
I had an interesting email this week about an ISA transfer that happened in August. I assume I’m not the only one? The tone seems a little strange, it seems they are prioritising tattling over solving the issue.

M&S CASH ISA
Hi MSE i) Not sure how to contact MSE direct so if you monitor this forum the rate you show for the M&S Cash ISA is out of date. ii) Has anyone applied for the M&S cash ISA. The company appears to be requesting a lot of personal details on the transfer form, such as employment status, employer, gross annual income, which…

Santander 1 year fixed rate ISA
I see Santander are offering £50 eVoucher if you transfer in at least £10000 from a non-Santander ISA. Am I right that the 4.31% interest rate on £10000 equates to 4.81% if you include the £50 voucher? Also is it better to just transfer the £10000 (to get the voucher) rather than a larger sum as there are better rates than…

Tax-efficiency of S&S vs cash ISAs
I have only started perusing this area recently so apologies if the question has already been addressed in the past (my search did not return an obvious thread on this issue). I have 80K to save/invest. My intention is to put 20K in a cash savings account and to invest 60K in shares (ETFs, in fact) . CLearly, I will not be…

ISA Transfer Question
Hi kind folks of the MSE Forum, Is it better to initiate your a cash ISA Transfer OUT from the provider that currently holds your ISA pot or initiate it as a transfer IN to the 'destnation' ISA provider, [meaning the ISA Provider that you fancy their rates and want to move to]? I currently hold a Zopa Cash ISA [4.8%] but I…

Another Transferring from Virgin to Trading 212 question!!
My Virgin 1 year cash ISA 6 has matured today, and the interest of just over £1000 is showing as being added. I have already set up the Trading 212 Cash ISA ready for transfer, but on the transfer form it gives me the option for transferring Previous and Current tax year subscription. Lifetime ISA question
I currently have a Lifetime ISA which I have been using to save for a house. However, I would also like a Lifetime ISA to save £4000 into each year to build up a pot of cash for age 60, so I was going to open a second Lifetime ISA before the age of 40 and save into that after I have enough money for a house. It's just…

Advice on swapping cash retirement LISA
I currently have a cash retirement LISA with Beehive at 3.3%. The interest is paid annually in April. I was considering swapping to Money Box as their rate is 5% for a year, paid monthly. Has anyone got any experience a Virgin 1 year fixed ISA . I have one which is to mature on the 24th of September which I wish to transfer the full amount into an already setup Trading 212 easy access ISA .
