Cash LISA for first time buyer
Looking to open a cash LISA. Money box interest is 4.8% AER (variable) for the first year, and drops to 3.8% after this. Whereas Tembo is 4.75% AER (variable) and the website says no drop off after one year. Recently saw Martin recommend Moneybox however considering Tembo doesn’t have the drop off after year one surely…

Move Help to buy ISA to another ISA
I am considering moving my £8k help to buy ISA to another cash ISA product the interest rate is only 2.60% with Halifax, I'm sick of the crap interest rate, yes I now i would lose out on the government bonus but would mean i can save as much as i want elsewhere. I'm over 40 so no, LISA are not relevant. Any thoughts?

I opened a Help to Buy ISA in 2019 with Lloyds bank and chose to transfer these funds to a LISA with AJ Bell in July 2024 due to the greater restrictions on spending in the old Help to Buy ISA…

My OH opened a cash ISA with Trading 212 and whilst it was quick and easy to open, they are saying there is a discrepancy between his account name and linked bank account name (haven't explained what the discrepancy is) and is therefore unable to pay in the initial bank transferred fund and are asking for a bank statement…

LISA without indexing on cap
Is it sensible to advise young people to commit to a lisa where there is no indexation on the £450K house limit? Imagine saving in there for 15 years without the limit lifting. I think it's irresponsible to be tied into something that has no guarantees around it. Yes the 25% bonus is good, but limited to £1000 and when it…

My partner and I are both first time buyers and we hope to buy a new house in February next year. The property is £390,000 and we will be buying a 25% share. Hi all, I think I know what the answer is going to be, but I'd like confirmation... I had some money on a fixed 1-year Cash ISA with Shawbrook. When the fixed term ended, I stupidly asked for it to be transferred to my bank account. From there, I deposited it onto my new T212 Cash ISA... T212 are counting this money as…
