Trading212 Cash ISA Transfer Out - My Experience

After reading through many threads on the difficulty of transferring out Cash ISAs from Trading212.com, I thought it would be good to share my experience with you all. I have a Cash ISA account with Trading212, which consists of contributions from the previous tax year (2023/24) and the current tax year (2024/25). I wanted to do a partial transfer, (transferring out the previous tax year’s contribution) and move them to a fixed rate Cash ISA with Shawbrook bank, while keeping the current tax year’s contribution as is. Here is a timeline of my experience:
3rd February – Opened the new account with Shawbrook bank. Filled out the ISA Transfer form and sent it to Shawbrook via email, where I specifically requested Shawbrook bank to send any communications towards Trading212 via their email address, isa.cash.transfers.out@trading212.com
4th February – Shawbrook bank sent me a message saying that they have already processed my form and sent it to Trading212 via email. On the back of that, I also wrote an email to isa.cash.transfers.out@trading212.com, requesting them to process my form at their earliest convenience
5th February – Having received no response from Trading212 for my email, I sent the same email to info@trading212.com
10th February – Having heard nothing from Trading212, I decided to contact them via the chat option on the app. Having requested for a ‘Live Chat’, I was finally in touch with a human representative and I explained to him my situation.
11th February – Trading 212 representative asked me for the account number of my new Shawbrook account, which I provided via chat (in fact, I send them the copy of my ISA transfer form). Later in the afternoon, the representative informed me that they have received the paperwork from Shawbrook bank and they will soon start the transfer process
12th February – Got an email from Trading 212 asking me to approve the ISA transfer request on the app, which I did straight away
13th February – The requested amount left my Trading212 account and the status of the transfer was shown as complete in the app
14th February – Shawbrook bank funded my new fixed rate cash ISA
To be honest, my experience has been better than expected (probably because I had such a low level of expectation to start with). If I had reached out to Trading212 via chat sooner, then the whole process probably would been completed under a week. Anyways, I’ve been a very happy customer of Trading212 and my experiences with them have always been positive.
