Mattresses - John Ryan or Hypnos?
We’re looking for a new mattress and divan bed. After much research I decided on a John Ryan (Artisan Naturals) mattress and so went to a local bed shop to look at divan base only. We looked at Hypnos bases and the salesman gave some convincing spiel about how we shouldn’t buy a mattress online (as that’s what John Ryan…

Help! My dishwasher is a monster!!
There, that got your attention. Our dishwasher was an antique when we moved into the house seven years ago, and on many occasions it threatened to stop working mid-cycle, but somehow we always managed to coax it back to life. More recently, the mechanism that holds the door in place fell prey to rust and the door fell…

Thermomix

You can still buy the Google Home Mini for £34 if you order directly from Google online. All other retailers seem to be back at the higher price of £49. I phoned Currys PC World and asked if they would price match Google (they are including a wider range of retailers in their price promise for christmas, including Amazon)…

Christmas cake recipe dating from 1970s/80s
Many moons ago I had a wonderful Christmas cake recipe taken from one of the supermarket magazines (?Living?) produced in the 1970s or 1980s. It involved soaking the dried fruit in half a pint of sherry for about a week and the results were wonderful! Does anyone by any chance have a link to the recipe, or something very…
