Quiet kettle rcommendations please!

We have a Tefal Safe to Touch kettle which is a year old and incredibly noisy. So much so I am looking for a new one! Any recommendations for a quieter sounding kettle would be appreciated please! Many thanks.

A stove top kettle. The only noise is the whistle.

  • Interestingly I was looking for a new kettle on the Morphy Richards site and noticed in the descriptions some actually say that they are quiet! Maybe have a look.

Thanks everyone. I’ll have a look at those!
  • We have a Breville One Cup, as my son cannot pick up a kettle safely. It's quick and it's quiet. You can alter the amount of water needed, so it is economic as well. We've had it for around five or six years now, and my mum has had one for about four years. No problems with either, and well worth considering.

Bear in mind that this can only be used to dispense very hot water (the fact it isn't quite boiling can be an issue for some purists!) and the design means it can't be used to fill hot water bottles or similar.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

We have a one cup and love it. Yours may be quieter as it is a better model than ours as we don't have the variable dispenser, but ours makes a right racket both when boiling and especially when dispensing.

Yep, in this house if you're making a cup of tea the water has to be boiling - doesn't taste quite right otherwise.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Try Molla P!ro Cordless Glass Electric Water Kettle. It doesn't make any noise. Really quiet. But it takes about 10 mins to boil.
