Have I got 'faulty' milk?
We have been buying and using Asda long-life milk for use in coffee for a couple of years now without an issue, and we drink quite a lot of it. I made 2 cups of coffee this evening for me and my other half but ran out of milk on my cup so I opened a new carton from a new 6-pack for the other cup. My coffee was fine but as…

Alpro soya yoghurts- cheap at Coop
Yesterday in my coop (the national one which uses the honeycomb loyalty card!) they had Alpro soya yoghurts plain, new- with coconut and new -with almond all @ £1 per tub. No indication that this was a special limited time span price. Currently plain Alpro is £1.35 a tub in Tesco. I also noticed they had 4 week shelf life.…

My new lidl store doesn't do their weekly and weekend offers. They stock the items but never reduce the prices. I've called customer services on several occasions but haven't had any joy. Are they allowed to do this?

Why is my grocery bill so high?
Hi, newbie here and wondering if anyone can help me out. I currently live alone and am a guy in his 20s. I do my grocery shopping online weekly with Sainsburys (there is no Aldi, etc, in reasonable/economic distance, nearest place is an understocked and overpriced CoOp and Waitrose). I've used Asda, but they never have my…

As i'm writing, I recall many years ago spending time with family who would regularly write to biscuit companies to claim back packets that are a missing a finger, or broken a little too much for their liking. TBH as a child I found it all a bit desperate. These where minor issues and their family certainly didn't struggle…

Organic food in supermarkets
I low carb and went organic in March. My husband doesn't low carb but is enthusiastic about organic. We've been trying lots of things so if you've been wondering whether organic tastes any better here are some reviews. IMO organic carrots definitely taste better if fresh, especially raw so I'd suggest looking for British.…

Westin Gourmet.....and online meat ordering.
Initially Westin Gourmet seemed a great idea for ordering quality meat on occasions, unfortunately, over the last couple of orders we have noticed the quality drop off, and the problems rise. Meat packets are not fully sealed, and we have had leakages for raw chicken and cooked ham respectively. Upon complaining about the…

Cheap fish fingers and expensive grapes at Tesco
I was astonished at the price of 500g pummets of grapes at £2.50 this morning but equally astonished at 20 omega 3 birdseye fish fingers reduced from £4 to £1 reduced to clear at t3sc0. I can't see them shifting many grapes at that price. Value grapes are half the price.

Anyone know the cheapest place to get laundry and cleaning products that are not tested on animals - preferably BUAV approved?
