Deed of variation from a trust to a new trust
I'm a trustee of a disabled person's trust. It's just received a bequest from a relative and we'd like to make a deed of variation to move some of the funds into a new discretionary trust (not a disabled one) but it would still benefit the disabled person. Is there any reason this couldn't be done?

Certification of Divorce Decree
I have a photocopy of my divorce decree but need it certifying by a solicitor or notary, I have received a quoted of £220 to get it certified and apostilled. Extra cost to then post it to me. I'm curious how people keep track of bank accounts, assets, debts and so on if you're an executor / administrator dealing with someone's estate? Whether you've contacted a bank, what you need to do next, totting up values and so on.

How long do solicitors take to retrieve a will from storage?
Our legal advisor has just told me (via the receptionist) that the reason he hasnt' returnred my call is that a family will "hasn't arrived from storage yet". But he was told over 3 weeks ago. Is this the new normal now? Thanks for any comments from experience.
