We like the look of the online service provided by Which for Lasting power of Attorney for both Health and Finance situations  .Has anyone onboard chosen to go down this route and if yes how did it go?
Also if done online do you have to print off documents to have them signed or can they be signed electronically?

We’ve just applied for LPAs online using the official You Gov website. Really quite straightforward if you work through it methodically and check everything. You can pay the fee online too.  However you do have to print the completed forms for the various signatures and then post off.  It too a week for ours to be confirmed as received and they are now been checked which apparently could take up to 16 weeks.  Hope that helps.

Why include a 3rd party in the application?

I don't see what the benefit is if it's all online.  You're still going to need the paper documents to prove the LPA.

Reason for 3rd Party is they claim to basically hold your hand through the process and point out any errors before submission .

You Gov? Did you mean "gov.uk"?

It's really not hard - and the official website appears to be designed for DIY in terms of language and simplicity - so there is a lot of extra information explaining the choices and implications thereof.

i have decided to give it a go ourselves via Gov.uk.
We have triple checked our LPAs for errors and feel confident now to register them both.
Once I have paid how many sheets will I need to print off and how long do we get to have the documents signed before posting off?
Thank you all for your help.
