When making a Will in anticipation of getting married that you do not wish to be revoked by the marriage is there any specific wording that needs to be used?

Your will is automatically revoked by marriage unless there is specific terms in there... it cannot be a general "if I get married this continues" but must explicitly name to whom a marriage wouldn't revoke the will etc.
Giving exact wording to include its getting too close to legal advice for my tastes but a google will give you suggested wordings that you may want to use if you aren't using a professional (which would recommend you do even if its just a free one done via a charity)2 -
I hope you are not trying to DIY this. Use a solicitor and they will but all the correct clauses in.0

No, I'll be using a STEP solicitor, but still want to go in with an informed idea of what should be in there.Keep_pedalling said:I hope you are not trying to DIY this. Use a solicitor and they will but all the correct clauses in.
