Event security/stewarding as a second income
Hi all I am looking to take on a second job to put a few extra pennies in the pot and was thinking of working for an events company. Have any of you ever done this on a part time/casual basis? The Velo, Birminghams 100 mile bike ride ran straight past my house today and got me thinking that all the marshals, stewards and…

Lottery syndicate with one friend abroad
Hia, I want to start running a syndicate but one of my friends works abroad now. If they were on the syndicate agreement, the fact that they're not eligible to play negates their chance to not be taxed, doesn't it? Is there an alternative? If I regularly gifted my friend below 5000, would it count as tax? (I like to remain…

Hi! Just downsized and come across old glass slides (Photo), old non decimal British coins, elaborate tin cases, intricate tin cover for a match box and some oil paintings. How do I get them valued and ultimately sold? Money raised will go to a charity. Thanks in advance.

Selling babies clothes - car boot sale?
We've got a load of baby clothes (0-24m) that we no longer need so was thinking of selling them to make a bit of cash. I've seen on eBay they sell whole bags for only a few quid. Is that just because there isn't a demand for them, or no one wants to buy baby clothes without seeing them? Was thinking of doing a boot sale…

Passive income when moving abroad for a year?
I'm considering teaching English as a foreign language abroad as I think I'll enjoy it, I also love travelling which I'll get to do, plus even if the money isn't good you can save a lot (£1k a month sometimes). This'll probably be for a year with the possibility of it leading to something long term if I really enjoy it.…
