Pi 4
Hello I am looking at getting a Pi 4 for purposes of sitting between the hub and acting as an adblocker etc for the wifi & perhaps even running a VPN on it. I could just buy the parts and put it together but I saw this: https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-400-unit/ Will this do the job please? Thank you.

Ever since I gave up a company iPhone around 5 years ago I've always bought my own android handset either outright or on an affordable contract. Samsung S7, Moto G7 Power and now Poco X3 NFC. I like to think of myself as tech savvy and I do like gadgets etc but I cannot work out what a handset costing £800+ offers against…

Microsoft and google a subscription tangle
In the middle of last years first lockdown I subscribed to Microsoft 365 for my wife as she was using it to edit and create Cv's and other documents in Word while looking for a new job. The subscription allowed her to access 365 online and download and edit documents etc which was essential for the job search process. I…

Norton 360 renewal
Back in the day, when you opened Norton, it used to show how much time was left before you had to renew - now it doesn't. Call me cycnical, but is this because it doesn't want you to know and actually wants to autorenew for you at a totally inflated cost. This happened to me last year. Is it possible to find out the…

I don't need to use fax much at all tbh, however when it comes to say solicitors, then it's sometimes quicker to fax than to send a letter over, if they're not fond of emailed documents Does anyone know of something that's cheap for that? I've noticed Attractive pricing for sending a fax, PamFax Credit, PamFax Professional…

How to identify the CMOS battery needed for my laptop?
I've found a video showing disassembly of my actual model of laptop - Toshiba Sattelite L50-C-1XP and I can see that the CMOS battery is easy to replace. My laptop was purchased in 2016. As I will be replacing the hard drive (with a SSD), would it be sensible to replace the CMOS battery at the same time? It isn't giving me…

We had a Sony TV which we wanted to wall mount, but unfortunately, Sony TV's have different mounting to other TVs, so we swopped with our sons Blaupunkt TV. A 'normal' wall mount was purchased and the TV put on the wall. Brilliant !! but now the Virgin remote won't control the TV, on and off or the volume. We've tried…

Tool to open stiff plastic covers - eg Laptop
Is there a specific tool available that can be used to slip under and carefully lever open plastic covers - e.g. the base of a laptop, so that minimum damage is done? I'm thinking of some sort of thin stiff plastic thing. I can't find anything when I search but there's probably a specific name for this - if such a tool…
