Error when sending Yahoo mail through Gmail.

Hi everyone,
I use gmail and have 2 other addresses that I pick up and sent emails through it. Just recently, one of them that I use to enter comps has started acting up and I have been receiving delivery failure notices, saying that it "failed to process account credentials". Emails are received ok though.
The email is a Yahoo.co.uk one.
Is there something I need to update to get it to work again?
Thanks in advance.

Credentials normally mean incorrect password.Yahoo recently changed their procedure for using SMTP access. You will need to open your Yahoo account and create an application specific password to use in the Gmail settings.

Have you been logging into Yahoo via its website or other yahoo app? They made some changes because few people actually used their webmail or app, bypassing theirdata collection and advertising. You should have agreed to them collecting your data and addingadverts etc. Did you do that?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1

It's all sorted now - I deleted the email from my Gmail, then created the web app password and then re-added the account to my Gmail and it seems to be working now.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090
