Samsung UE40ES5500
I have a Samsung UE40ES5500. When watching it, on high contrast edges there is a blue/purple fringing effect. It looks similar to what photographers call Chromatic Aberration. Is there anything I can do to reduce this? The firmware is up to date. The only other thing I have altered in settings is that motion smoothing is…

Secunia PSI
Ive been using Secunia PSI for a few years to keep my system up to date. Just lately it warns me of out of date applications that I cannot get a newer version for and slo its "update now" feature doesnt always work. Is there a similar, more reliable, free application? I believe the paid-for Avast does a similar thing.

BT Cable Entry Cover
I had to repair the BT plastic cable entry covers in my 20 year old house. It seems to me that a burglar could take the precaution of cutting off communications to the outside world very easily. Anyway, I removed the cover, removed a lot of filth including earth, water, and a snail. I than put in new rawlplugs and screws.…
