as title says.
just added a wireless mouse.
also with dongle attached I can interrupt startup as if to enter bios but nothing happens, cant get in to bios.
I have checked boot up order and "notebook hard drive" is the 1st boot option.
everything above works as it should with dongle removed or wired mouse attached, wireless mouse works great if I add dongle once OS has launched. (XP).
any ideas?
edit: just booted without dongle to get to bios options. then added dongle and laptop stopped responding to any key strokes.
basically the dongle is stopping the laptop doing anything unless its only added once the OS screen as appeared or later, then it works fine.
dongle added to main PC does not cause any of the above issues.

Had a similar issue with a memory stick, the PC seemed to want to boot from the memory stick even though it was not bootable and had no OS on it and the BIOS was set to boot from HD only.
Tried a different USB port?
Incompatible device, it happens occasionally. Possibly a BIOS update available.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Not quite the same but ... I had to update my BIOS after installing Windows 10 to get my laptop screen working.
Weird things happen.0
