Is this allowed?
My desk top was running on win 7 , I upgraded to win 10. A friend gave me an old but quality laptop running on xp. It is VERY slow and I think a reinstall would help. It is on xp. I have a disk but goodness knows where it is. I still have my shop bought win 7 disk. Is it legal to place the win 7 os onto the laptop?

Beware "District Court" email
Just emptied an email from my Outlook account, which supposedly was sent from District Court (a US expression), titled - "Notice to appear". If anyone gets an email like this then delete it straight away, because a Google search will show that it probably contains a virus. Stay safe online folks.:)

Think Print Ink Cartridges
We have been using Think brand of Print cartridges for a number of years which are a lot cheaper than the "official" HP cartridges. In the main until 3 months ago, we have been very happy with these compatible print cartridges and they have done no harm at all to our printer However in the last 3 months when we have…

Can you recommend an "Eraser" program for Windows 10?
Selling my tablet on Ebay that runs Windows 10. I'll be doing the Windows 10 reset so that should clean it nicely but wanted to run an "Eraser" style program before that to write over empty ones and zeros. Any recommendations?

Amazon ads
It will soon be my wife's birthday so I looked on Amazon for some ideas for a present. 10 minutes later she shouts up the stairs, why are you looking at presents on Amazon? She was reading a book on her Kindle and along the bottom of the page are suggestions based on what I was looking at. How can I turn this off?

Praise for TSOHOST, UK-based internet hosting
I know we usually dread dealing with tier 1 tech support, but I've always been impressed with Tsohost. I think the tier 1 is handled from India, usually Indian names (nice they don't pretend to be 'Oswald' or 'Kenilworth' or some of the other faux-English names). Often it's a female engineer, so good for equality. Always…
