iPod not charging?
Hi, I have a 32GB iPod which recently failed to charge. I tried several chargers from iPhones but none seemed to work. The Apple store managed to kick start the iPod into charging using a "Booster", as they called it. Anyway as the product was out of warranty I would have had to pay a small fortune to get this repaired. On…

I've just foolishly pulled out a USB stick from my Mac running Mountain Lion. In Finder none of the files are visible. In Disk Utility I can see how many files and their total size are on the USB stick. I've tried a Verify Disk and Repair Disk and an unmount and mount in Disk Utility. This didn't work. Any ideas on how to…

Annoying Ads
Can anyone tell me what is going on here? Firefox is my browser of choice. If I use it no hassle. However, if I use IE9 ads appear in the posts, those ads that suggest a link and if you hoover over it an ad appears. I know this is not this sites style: what's going on how to get rid of those ads. Does anyone have a Bosch Exxcel 8 washing machine?
After the saga of our Panasonic machine I think I have more or less decided on a Bosch Exxcell 9 Vario Perfect machine the number is WAQ28461, its the 8kg / 1400 spin. The reviews are really good (apart from the occasional odd moan about not spining the clothes enough and a bit of noise for that only a few). I know on the…

But I have seen others "from China" for about £41, mostly on Ebay. Should I steer well clear of them, and invest in Panasonic ones,…

Recommend me a soldering iron.
Hi all. I have done plenty if soldering before, but I'm wanting to do some that involves the likes of surface mount LED's and my iron is way too large for those small connections. Can anyone recommend a half decent but fairly cheap soldering iron that's good for these kinds of applications? Cheers, Mark
