Does anyone have a Bosch Exxcel 8 washing machine?

Options
After the saga of our Panasonic machine I think I have more or less decided on a Bosch Exxcell 9 Vario Perfect machine the number is WAQ28461, its the 8kg / 1400 spin. The reviews are really good (apart from the occasional odd moan about not spining the clothes enough and a bit of noise for that only a few).
I know on the forum many of you do have and recommend Bosch machines.
Does anyone have one of these?
Also I am aware they come with a 2 year warranty, what do you all do after this? do you pay for another warranty from Bosch and are they expensive or do you just use a local repairer if you are unlucky enough to need one? (just a bit paranoid as our Panasonic with the 5 year warranty lasted 3 years).
All comments and advice about your Bosch machines would be brilliant.
Just also thought do you have tumble tryers and if so are they Bosch or just something cheap and cheerful (the washing machine is £499 installed and their condenser dryers are £400 eeeek)
Thanks :D:D

Most white goods these days are very reliable, and Bosch are one of the more reliable brands. Extended warranties are usually very poor value for money, so just 'self insure' as you suggest.
I'd go for Bosch on both, as their budget models are not that much more than the cheapo budget brands. And get one with a energy rating of at least 'C'.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Top tip with washing machines, the fewer buttons it has the better. Go Bosch, but go for the cheapest model they do.

Not heardof Euronics before, are they an ok company. They are £499 with 4 year guarantee not sure if its all with Bosch or not plus £15 for installation £514 (not bad for 4 year warranty)
Best local price I can get is £499 with the 2 year Bosch warranty and installation included in that price.
    Thank you.

Thanks, I`ve just rung one of the local shops the can do the Bosch machine for £499 including fitting but say they can`t do the 4 year cover thats online only. Would rather buy from a local place if poss but the extra warranty would be peace of mind after the Panasonic. Might give another one a ring and see what they say.

    Have you asked Bosch?

Register your new home appliance and get a second year FREE!

The quality of our appliances is superb - but we know that components do occasionally fail. That's why we're offering you an extra year on top of your existing 12 month guarantee FREE - when you register your new Bosch appliance with us.

Extend your peace of mind to a full FIVE years

While your appliance is still new, you can also add an extra three years of Bosch care to your 2-year guarantee with the Bosch Repair Plan.

If your appliance develops a fault or gets damaged by accident, all you have to do is call our 24-hour helpline for assistance 08444 810320 or (01) 230 0344 (Republic of Ireland)

As an added bonus, your 2-year guarantee will be upgraded to include damage caused by accidents too!

Thanks santer, wonder how much Bosch charge for a 5 year guarantee...my experience of Dom and General using Service Force for Zanussi repairs is not good (flooded kitchen and lots of problems) and it has always put me of D&G policies. Please would anyone happen to know if Service Force do Bosch repairs or if it would be Bosch?
Think I`ll email Bosch and find how how much it would be to extend to 5 years. Then I`ll have all my options.
