Problems opening multiple web pages.?????

My dd has forgotten the password for her laptop :o - fortunately she made an account for me so can still use the laptop but she would like to use her own (administrator) account. Can I make PC monitor work like a TV also?
OK, this may be the dumbest question you've seen yet but I'm asking anyway! Our home PC is in my DD's bedroom. She has no TV or ariel socket.
