Deleting from PC

My daughter got a new laptop for xmas so i would like to delete all her bits and bobs from our main pc.

Ive been through add & remove and done that but i would like to get rid of Limewire in particular.

  • you should be able to go to my computer, control panel, add/remove programmes and it should list installed stuff like limewire. You can then just usually go through the wizard to remove it.

    yep done that but all the tunes etc are still there...

    The songs can be found in her file My Computer>C drive>Documents and Settings>(persons name)>my documents>limewire>saved. unless they where moved.

    If she had a seperate user account then you can delete that from an administrator account and it should, from memory, allow an option to delete all the user files. This should work if she saved them in her folders.

    thanks for that it has cleared her account of the pc....will it alter any other settings ?
    willit be nec to clean up the hard drive ?

    yeah, especially if she was using limewire :)

    do, in order, CCleaner (both registry and cleaner elements), Malwarebytes antimalware, your antivirus, disk cleanup and defrag....that should be a good start ;)
