Hi,
I'm trying to get hold of a copy of MS Office 2003 and have had my fingers burnt after receiving a pirated copy. I thought it was a good deal - £150 instead of £350 - but you really do get what you pay for. Is there anywhere out there that sells old MS software that is reliable and sells the genuine article?? I'm looking for the Small Business or Professional editions.

Is there any reason why you're going for 2003 instead of 2007?
Ebay is worth a try, with a degree of caution!0 -
Have you taken a look at Open Office ?

Seconded. Open Office is great.0 -
Why not? Office 2007 has a horrible interface.NickMidgley wrote: »Is there any reason why you're going for 2003 instead of 2007?

!!!!!! the guy wants office 2003 not open office if they wanted open office they would have seen the thousands of posts just like yours saying try open office when they ask for Microsoft office.
Unfortunately as 2007 has been released 2003 is very difficult to get hold of now, It is my preferred version as well I don't blame you. Everywhere that had 2003 has pretty much sold out and won't be getting any more It has been a pain for me as I advise people what to buy and need to keep explaining this bit below to them. most then decide to make the change to 2007 as they won't be useing it.
Your option is to buy The version of office 2007 that is the equivalent to the version of office 2003 you wish to install. Microsoft have granted downgrade rights for office so if you buy Office pro 2007 you can use office pro 2003 under the 2007 licence. you just need the office 2003 pro CD and a key to use to install the software, when you get the activation it will not activate but you phone Microsoft as part of the activation process and tell them your using downgrade rights.0 -

There's no need for that now, let's keep things civil.
How do you know he might not be interested in saving £150 when he's posting on a money savings website? Can you read his mind?
I also recommend Open Office.0 -

£55 on Amazon, might be able to shave a couple more pounds off that if you look around a bit more.0
