JVC VHS-C Video Camera GR-AX338e "VideoMovie"
Hi, Does anyone have any ideas where I can get the manual for this video camera please? I've been round all the usual manual sites, and this model just isn't listed; and I don't think it's even a UK model! Although it is at least PAL... It's like this model never existed! Even JVC's website doesn't recognise the model!…

Low energy bulb replacement to increase light?
Having installed a ceiling fan with a centre light, I saw that the sticker said that maximum bulb size should not exceed 60 watts. Is this because of the bulb HEAT generated, and I can safely get 50% more light, by fitting a 15 watt (or thereabouts) low energy bulb (which runs cool),but would give perhaps 100 watts of…

Ideas for extending TV aeriel, wirelessly if possible?!
We had a digital aerial installed a while ago, and they gave us a bit of slack on the cable so we could 'move the TV' if we wanted to. That's all very well, but the amount of slack would only allow us to move it a metre or two  Anyway, we'd like to move the TV to the opposite side of the room (more than a couple…

Sky, Virgin, Freeview- cable or aerial? Please explain but KIS!
We were on Virgin Media via a cable connection. It's quite costly but OH likes the sports channels. Then our TV broke down. After a week of paying rental for services we weren't getting, I'd had enough and phoned Virgin to cancel the contract. They have put us on a reduced package of phone & broadband only. Today our new…

Sky+ Deal...
We got an offer through the post from Sky - introduce a friend and both get free Sky+ boxes. At the moment, we have two addresses (one is a rental property with a soon-to-end lease, and our new house, which we will officially move into once the rental lease ends.) Our longstanding Sky subscription is in my partner's name…

We have a sky+ box from our old flat but only one cable coming in and we've been told we won't be able to have a second cable run in. It's been mentioned about the possibility of…

restyleme LOL :)
I found a very interesting website and wanted to share it here. Name of the website is RestyleMe. It simply lets you upload a photo of yourself for other users to judge, while you do likewise to their pictures. The fun part comes from the ability to highlight specific elements that you like or dislike in a person's style -…

How to 'edit' a CD?
I'll hold my hand up and admit I know very little about technology, so please don't shout at me if you think my question is stupid. I have a CD an acquaintance made for me... it's of his voice so there are no copyright issues. Would it be possible to rip, edit (somehow) and burn a new one? I just want to edit off the last…

Hi everyone, After much soul searching, I’ve decided to buy a Dell 1525 laptop. In view of what I’ve read about Norton, I’ve also decided not to have this installed. The laptop comes with Vista, and I’ve read Martin’s article on security. As a result I intend to download: AVAST, COMODO/ZONEALARM and SPYBOT As a non techie…
