Hi, I was wondering if I upgrade my standard O2 Wireless Router (54mbps) to a new Netgear DG834GT (108mbps) will the speed of devices connected directly to the router via ethernet improve at all? Thanks!

You won't notice much difference in speed unless you're in an area with a low connection speed for ADSL. What you will notice though is a far more friendly user interface.
To get 108Mbps out of the DG834GT you need to use Netgear 108Mbps Wifi kit on all wifi connected PCs. You can't just use any manufacturers stuff.
BUT if the O2 one is doing the job, save your money.0 -
Also something to consider is that better routers often have more features, which you may or may not need depending what you do with your connection. Some can tell what kind of data you are sending/receiving, and prioritize it as needed. For instance, giving skype and game data high priority so they get send first. Though for most home users, its not such a big deal.0
