Getting a student loan for putting in ISA?
Hello, I'm due to start univeristy in September 2006 and am in a good postion where I don't actually need to take out a student loan (maintenance). I was wondering, is it possible to take out a student loan anyway then stash it away in and ISA...and finally pay it back as soon as the three-year degree programme finishes?…

Using NUS Card at PizzaHut
Anyone tried to use their NUS card at Pizzahut to get the 20% off? They do various takeaway deals, and when I tried to use my card I was told the card cannot be used with any other offer. As far as I can see, this only relates to buffet, and not a takeaway offer they have. They do for £14 any large, garlic bread and a…

Would you spend money on Botox?
So are there any old students on here (25+). Male or female, would you consider paying for botox (£300 every 3 months!) i personally think it's a bit pointless - it only prevents facial expression wrinkles. Your skin will still age and dry out You need to excercise, eat healthily and moisturise (if you can be bothered)…

Students - save money on drugs!
I was paying a fortune for NHS prescription at £6.50 a pop. If you get regular prescriptions, it's well worth getting the prescription prepayment card - I think mine was £93.50 for a year (or something like that) I get so many drugs - it's well worth it

Getting the muchies - save money
So when I was in first year, I used to engage in activities that made me very hungry and crave chocolate, cake, crisps and other food :D :D Inevitably, we'd all go and spend a fortune at the vending machines. It really is so much cheaper to buy multipacks from the supermarket, corner shops just charge so much - daylight…

Graduate and a student account at the same time.
I was wondering if it is possible to have a graduate and a student account at the same time and therefore reap the rewards that both have to offer. I already have a graduate account with tsb but they say once you have graduated you cannot go back to a student account which seems a bit unfair. I am about to re-enter…
