Graduate and a student account at the same time.

I was wondering if it is possible to have a graduate and a student account at the same time and therefore reap the rewards that both have to offer. I already have a graduate account with tsb but they say once you have graduated you cannot go back to a student account which seems a bit unfair. I am about to re-enter postgrad studies.

Thanks

  • I have a student and a graduate account, each one at a different bank.

with a student account you usually get larger overdrafts, often interest free. with graduate accounts they tend to phase out how much of an overdraft you have have.

it depends on your financial situation - i'm doing postgradute stuff and i still find that a big overdraft is very nice! i just took in proof that i was a student and they changed it back. it might be worth going and speaking to someone in a brach to see how much of a difference it will make to you because it will be different with different banks.
