How do I report a board guide - is there any point?
I have taken great exception to a board guide on MSE who now seems to go out of their way in taking complete control of a sub forum. They wield their moderation powers far to quickly and without thought, locking, moving and deleting at will. I shall not name them, other than to say it's actually not one i've crossed swords…

Rise in Spam?
Hi, I just noticed today there seems to be alot of spam on the forums, users such as farramae have sprung up and start posting in lots of different topics. I know we get it from time to time but it seems excessive today? I also believe the abuse email system is down as well?

Why do people be nasty to newbies?
Just wondering why some people feel the need to post nasty comments when newbies post on here. It's the only forum I've known to be like this, most others have a load of posts welcoming the new person to the forum. Surely everyone was in the same boat at some point, saw Martin Lewis on the TV, went onto this website…

I've just accidentally shot someone!
Well, not shot them exactly. It's the hair-trigger 'Spam' button which I brushed across while moving my finger on the touch-pad. The next thing I know, I'm being thanked for reporting spam. I know I can (and did) un-report it, but it concerns me that I could have thought, "What the hell", and not bothered, or not seen it…

"Posts" and "Threads Started"
Hi, is there anyway to simplify a function so when I click on it, it will bring up all the threads that I've started, and perhaps another for all the threads that I've posted in. I've seen this on MANY sites, but some just lack the feature... Any ideas?

Mobile skin
I'm part of a forum using this software and we've installed a mobile skin and I wondered if it would be worth doing that here? Sometimes when I'm waiting for people and or appointments etc, I'll have a quick read of the forum, but each page takes ages to load. On my phone, it loads all the images and links in the header…

Why close the ugliness thread?
I was the one being slated, I haven't complained. All it's done is led to me being called a hypocrite and not let me be given the chance to respond. It's actions like this that really gets me mad about this forums policing. There was nothing that bad/personal in that discussion, it was a fairly sensible debate by this…

I have cleared all cookies, cache etc to see if it made a difference but no joy. Can anyone solve the mystery please? I also notice some people are…

Waiting for api.ak.facebook.com
This seems to really be slowing down the loading of threads. The first post opens, then I'm waiting for about 10-15 seconds for this to load so I can see the rest of the thread. :undecided

Spam button is useless, better system needed.
Surely there must be a more effective, yet still easy way of reporting spam other than clicking the spam button at the bottom of a thread? How many people does it take to click the button before action is taken? And why oh why does the whole thread need to be involved? We have individual post buttons for everything else,…

List of subscribers?
Someone mentioned recently they somehow got a list of subscribers to a thread. Anyone know how to do this?

Beware of rates offered on the net
A couple of days ago I applied for an Alliance & Leicester (Santander) loan on a link from this site. The APR advertised was 7.8%, I completed the form and submitted it. I immediately received a receipt via e-mail from Santander telling me that a decision would be made soon. My application was successful and received the…

Tax Credit rumours
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/budget/7836827/Child-tax-credits-to-be-cut-for-2m-families.html Will MSE do an article showing the true implications of these please. Taking the lowest figure of 25K and assuming a family of 2 adults and 2 children with just 1 adult working (saves messing with chidcare…

Spam posts
There must be an easier way to shift the spam posts which are appearing so frequently now. Think I've reported 3 in just the last 24 hours. They're getting clever and incorporating in established threads. This is a growing problem - how can we sort it?

Blooming apostrophes
I hate it when they're added to things like "Fish and Chips" on signs and so on. I know lots of others do as well. If you google "Money saving expert" it shows that one of the links are the "Forum's" Which winds me up!
