Fund Comparison Tools
There must be a better option that Trustnet, it is so cumberson, as you can't just search "Bankers" or "VWRL" or HMWO". Even after you've entered type, sector, fund manager you have to sift through pages of funds, and "guess" which one best matches the one you are looking for, and reverse check it by searching on another…

Kiddivouchers Refund
We've currently got over £1k in a Kiddivouchers account and due to the pandemic, I was advised by my GP to work from home last march due to an underlying health condition. As such, working from home, we no longer need the vouchers we planned on using but Kiddivouchers won't refund the money as the pandemic is classed as…

Medallion Guarantee Stamp needed - does anyone have any experience?
I am executor for my my father, who left his shares to my brother. The shares were with Computerserve in Jersey so when at long last probate was granted, I sent off the transfer form, grant of probate etc, and waited. And waited. After about 5 weeks I rang them to be told that the shares are now with Computershare US and…

ChipAI
Reading the MSE email and trying to understand the Chip story. The description says "With the interest, Chip's actually giving you a marketing bonus for saving." I believe Cashbacks and other 'incentives' are not counted as interest. Does it mean the Chip 'interest' doesn't need to be declared as savings income for tax…

Property investments with crowdtolive
Hi all, I'm new here and wanted to ask if anyone knows crowdtolive.com. A friend of mine suggested this platform to invest in property. Seems like a good option because I shouldn't be managing the property or tenant. I usually get a mortgage, buy the property and rent it. The problem I have now is that with too many…

Look out for the NS&I 'Green' savings account this summer
Rumours of a new savings account from NS&I: "UK savers will have the opportunity to contribute towards projects that will accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy, create green jobs and support the collective effort to tackle climate change" No details other than any money raised will NOT count towards the Gvt's…

Any good investment products to hedge student loans?
Hi all, Our 2 children are, all being well, intending to study at university - the first starting this year. Originally, our plan was to just finance it ourselves, but having read the MSE article, it sounds more sensible for them to take the student loans on the off chance that they never earn enough to need to pay it off…

My Mums been tidying up and found £25 in premium bonds from way back when, perhaps over 50 years old, I seem to remember she did this a few years back and I found somewhere I could check them - alas I can't seem to find that now, NS&I want a holders number, which I don't have. Maxed out ISA - capital gains on GIA
I have had a bit of a windfall, well from my own business growth, which has meant I am about to max out my £20k s and s ISA with Vanguard. ISA rules
