Saving for grandchild resident in Australia

What is the best way to save for my grandson who was born and lives in Australia?  I cannot open a Halifax Kidsavers (which I have for my other grandchildren) because he is not British.

I'd eiterh save money in your own name, and transfer it to the Grandson when you deem it appropriate, or ask their parents to open a local AUD account you can transfer into. In either case when you transfer GBP to AUD, make sure to use a service such as Wise (formerly Transferwise) to make sure you don't get ripped off by the exchange rate.
