There must be a better option that Trustnet, it is so cumberson, as you can't just search "Bankers" or "VWRL" or HMWO".
Even after you've entered type, sector, fund manager you have to sift through pages of funds, and "guess" which one best matches the one you are looking for, and reverse check it by searching on another website.
For example it's far from clear if I'm looking at HMWO from the Trustnet screen below. (I am not, searching on web HL confirms this is HMWD)
There must be a better way, and I missing something..?

I use trustnet from time to time to investigate new funds but usually do it via google. For instance googling 'trustnet bankers' gives https://www.trustnet.com/factsheets/t/he03/the-bankers-investment-trust as the very first search result. I agree it's not always obvious that I'm on the right fund, but google does usually prove to have found the right one.

I've tried a few, Morningstar, Trustnet etc etc
All seem OK at comparing past performance
Still looking for one to give the next 3 months return...
“Like a bunch of cod fishermen after all the cod’s been overfished, they don’t catch a lot of cod, but they keep on fishing in the same waters. That’s what’s happened to all these value investors. Maybe they should move to where the fish are.” Charlie Munger, vice chairman, Berkshire Hathaway1 -
I actuslly find the ft.com options pretty good, text of ISIN search, comparison, full screen possible etc.
It has its drawbacks as with all of these options.
With trustnet you can search and 'hack' the url by adding in the trustnet code followed by a comma0
