Vanquis refusing reypayment option plan refund due to “fraud”
Last year I’d read about vanquis having to refund the Repayment option plan. I’d paid off and cancelled my card around 9/10 years ago. So I rang to see if I would be due a refund. I’d none of the details of the card as it was so long ago. They found my old account and updated my address so that if I was due a refund the…

Halifax cetelem
In December 2002 I bought a tv and other equipment from Dixons the electronic retailer. Using a monthly payment plan as this was in John the salesman words the best way to buy as it extended the manufacturers guarantee with a cover plan. John then asked basic questions like address phone number and mothers maiden name…

I have all the paperwork from the beginning. I took out a mortgage in 1995 with the Woolwich which was organised for me by a…

Blackhorse PPI 8 weeks extension... Again
I've had a claim in with Blackhorse since Nov 2018 for a loan dating back to 2003. They extended their response time by another 8 weeks in January, which was fine. Final response was due on 14th of March, but having rang them they are now extending me another 8 weeks. I wasn't aware they could extend the time twice like…

Rejected PPI Halifax
I had PPI for a Halifax mortgage between 2001 and 2003. I believe I was mid-sold this, as it wasnt explained to me st the time, plus I was already covered by my employee benefits at ABN Amro Bank NV, where I know that I had life assurance, critical illness cover, personal accident cover and unemployment cover,…

PPI reclaim again
FOS rejected my complaint for PPI mis-sold in 2014 They look at my complaint again in 2017 after Plevin. I accepted offer from the bank for the commission in 2018. FOS told me my complaint will be close in 2014 and in 2017. They look at my complaint again because of Plevin. I have new information regarding my complaint.…

PPI rejected EGG/Barclay’s
Hi I received a rejection letter from Barclays regarding my PPI based on the fact I applied online so they did not give me any advice and I made my own decision if I required the policy and could have benefited from it. It was such a long time ago so I can’t remember all the details but at the time I was about to leave my…

Critical illness cover when mortgage free but still paying endowment
We have just discovered that we have critical illness cover on our endowment mortgage we took out in 1996. I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS PPI. We paid off the mortgage in full in 2003 but continued paying the endowment to use as savings for our retirement. We have never had any other loans so have not tried to get PPI…

Northern Rock PPI Claim
I’m looking at putting a claim into NR and I’d like to ask some real beginners questions. I was sold PPI by NR themselves on 2 houses / policies way back in the late 80’s and mid 90’s. Using the NRAM site or the MSE claim page do I have to submit 2 applications, one for each policy or would one suffice ? Unfortunately I…

PPI on Orange Care insurance cover?
Hi all, Quite clueless when it comes to PPI so thought I'd ask. Should I bother seeking PPI for an old Orange Care insurance cover plan I used to have from 2011 until (??? can't remember when I stopped it but will find out if it's worth doing.) Sorry for daft question.

This sounds really cheeky
I did take out an HSBC loan some years ago (think it was for £5K), they wouldn't provide the loan unless I took out the PPI. I did claim on it a few years after because I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the remainder of the loan £800 (I think) was paid off. Does it sound cheeky to inquire about a PPI refund?

PPI/Plevin Award
Still awaiting for the award but seen a few posts says your not awarded for a certain time due to non regulation before certain dates. Mine is from 1997 to present date as the Halifax states even though there was no code of practice as such they awarded because of a general code of ethics in place before regulation kicked…

Other accounts identified
Hi I found details of a couple of old cards, I genuinely have no idea whether there is PPI, but 5 minutes to fill in details so nothing to lose. Obviously over time, there have been changes to who the original card provider was, as I received a form from the Halifax yesterday with a reference and a further 2 account…
