Mis-sold PPI 1998: Kirkplan Kitchens (First National Bank, Abbey National) - advice?

Chance of success with old documents?
I am claiming mis-sold PPI from a couple of banks dating back to the mid nineties. They cannot find any record of my accounts. I have some old credit card bills and loan agreements which clearly show I had PPI. What chance do you think I will have of claiming if I have these documents in my armoury?

Unexpected windfall
Apologies if this has been raised before. I've just received a letter from Lloyds Bank. I was the administrator for my brother's estate when he died back in 2012.
