Mbna ppi claim

I contacted Mbna to claim missold ppi. After a couple of emails stating they have my claim and filling out forms for further information, they informed me they would give me their decisions by 23.12.2016. I then had a text asking me to call them.
They advised that the cards I had from 1999 and 2001 had different employment history than I had stated on the claim form. I stated at the time of taking the cc out I had been working for 16 years for the same company, but on the claim form I had started 5 and 7 years. As I explained to them I was born in 1977 so in 1999 I don't think I would have been working for the company for 16 years.
23rd December and no letter or email (as previously corresponded) so I called them.
They have confirmed that both claims have been upheld and I have £1400 on one and £7000 on another. They said s letter was sent out on 23.12.2016. They advised payment would be with me within 28 days.
I had given them my bank details and asked if this would be paid direct to my account. They advised me they would need to check and confirm bank details so may be by cheque.
Can anyone tell me how they got on with getting their payment into bank or by cheque ? Also how long did it take Mbna to pay out?
I had another claim with Barclays and had over £11k paid straight into my account the same day I received the letter.
Thanks for any information given

I know the 28 days but wondering if anyone has had it by bank transfer or cheque. As they stated they would need to check and confirm bank details or would send a cheque. Thanks0

I got myletter from them stating upheld and would pay back £18k, that was on the 15th Dec and they said it will be upto 28 days from the letter....pahhhhh! Waiting is very, very boring! Hopefully it will be paid out next week and not go right to the 28 days!

Did you give them your bank details on the fos firm ?0

I only filled in the form from them online, it had a space for my bank details, I had no correspondence from them just one letter saying it will take a bit longer and then on the 15th the final letter, I phoned them to ask when it might be paid but they were pretty unhelpful and just said it will be paid into my bank account. I wonder how long it's taken other people as no one seems to say, paid on day 27 or 28 so I know I shouldn't get my hopes up!0

I know the waiting is a killer. Just hoping they are quick like Barclays were.0

It's Christmas and MBNA are busy selling their business. That'll give you a clue as to the speed of turnaround.0

No I am enquiring as Barclays paid into my account the day they sent out the letter. Also I wanted to find out if people had it paid into their account or by checque. As I was told on the phone they needed to confirm my bank details so may have to send out a cheque. I know they say 28 days but so do Barclays and I had the payment within 24hours of them sending the letter.0

However, there is no way for anyone here to give guidance about when you might receive your pending payment, other than to tell you to simply forget about it until you receive it.
No point even chasing up with the Bank until 28 days are up and there are no guarantees that they will even pay up within that timeframe , I'm afraid.0
