PPI Claim with M&S response help!

Hi everyone -
I recently sent a Resolver PPI claim to M&S Bank relating to an ancient card I have had since 1993. I received a response via my Resolver case file account telling me that the claim email I sent had been received by HSBC!
Anyone else had this issue of sending a claim via Resolver to M&S bank only to receive a reply from HSBC?
I should add the Resolver file clearly shows I did send it to M&S...

Presumably everyone, as M&S Bank is run by HSBC.0

Thanks for that...
But hang on... if that's the case why are they telling me to send it *directly* to M&S then? This is what they wrote in reply to my initial claim letter (also note incorrect spelling in 'contact'!
]Dear ***
Thank you for your email. I have noted you have stated that Marks & Spencer bank has mis-sold PPI to you. Please be advised that your email was received by HSBC. As such, I kindly request you to contract M&S Bank...[/B]

Just another complication of using another company ("Resolver") to complain.
Why involve a third party at all? Just send your complaint direct to the Bank concerned...0 -
Your complaint is with the firm who SOLD you the policy, the fact HSBC administer it is neither here nor there, just a matter of box ticking so your complaint is dealt with properly
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
