Chance of success with old documents?

Options
I am claiming mis-sold PPI from a couple of banks dating back to the mid nineties. They cannot find any record of my accounts.

I have some old credit card bills and loan agreements which clearly show I had PPI. What chance do you think I will have of claiming if I have these documents in my armoury?

  • Any documents are an advantage, the main problem is that you'll need very comprehensive evidence of what you actually paid if the Bank have kept no records.

In addition, you will need evidence of why you believe you were missold. PPI was not necessarily a bad thing.
  • Thanks for replies. My claim takes issue with the medical side of things. Without going into too much personal info here my family and I suffered greatly after several lenders refused to honour the PPI after I became ill in the late 90's.

However, now I am better I have started to claim the PPI back under mis selling. Several lenders have been great, and have paid it back without any problem.
