Legacy PPI still being paid on old Mortgage
Hello, I am hoping you can help me clarify if a PPI is on a mortgage or the person? I took a Halifax Mortgage & PPI (clever sales\easily led first time buyer) on a first time buyer mortgage in 2001. When I moved in 2007, i paid up the mortgage (from the sale of the property) and moved to another provider - declining the…

Where's my 8%?
Hi there new to the forum but not new to the rat-race. I'm chasing a PPI reclaim through First Response and they have got back to me with a breakdown of what I'm entitled to. I say breakdown but it is the simplest statement I've ever seen. Apart from charges applied to the premium the only information about the amount I'm…

Lloyds TSB - Wrong Refund?
Hi, I've recently been informed that my premiums will be refunded on my Lloyds loan. I have paid the loan for 3 years and they have offered a refund of £68. This doesn't sound right for making 3 years worth of payments. Has anybody had an issue with the wrong refund being calculated?? On a separate note I also have made a…

HSBC over time limit
I wondered if anyone could advise me on what to do if a bank exceeds the eight week time limit for resolving your complaint? I can find lots of info saying complaints "WILL" be dealt with within eight weeks, but nothing saying what to do if they aren't! We have had a complaint in with HSBC since early January. It is more…

Possible dual PPI reclaim?
A few years ago, when the whole PPI reclaim thing started, I employed my then boss to assist me in claiming it back. Because the bank involved insisted that any payment received went wholly towards legal costs, I forgot about it, and the PPI insurance itself was left intact so that I could claim on it if needed. Now, a few…

PPI Claim Company Confusion
We have some slight confusion with PPI Claims being made on our behalf. We went down the route of using a claims company, however we are a bit dubious to what they have actually claimed for. I was pretty sure that no request had been made by ourselves to chase Lloyds TSB, we did ask about some other claims against Virgin…

Reclaiming PPI that I didnt ask for!
When I originally applied for my Nationwide credit card, I ticked the box that said NO, for PPI and Card Protection Plan. Yet hearing all the fuss about PPI, I thought I'd check my statement. Lo and behold I've been paying PPI all this time. I have a copy of the original application form, (from Nationwide). What is my best…

PPI Timeline
Interested if anybody can recall the year when the first PPI mis-selling claims were submitted. Was it the same time as the bank charges or later? I know the problems with PPI were highlighted in the early 00's, just wondered what date people were given the green light to start submitting claims.
