Hello fellow claimers! Advice please
Basically over the past 9 years I've had a loan with HSBC that I've re-financed several times. On requesting copies of the paprework my bank have said they can't find it for my 2008 loan.
Where does this leave me with regards to my PPI claim please?

Hi and welcome
If you know you were sold and mis sold PPI, then what I would do, just like to many others who have not had any or much paperwork is continue to make a reclaim, as long as you have the account number that is all you require. They will soon find details once you make a reclaiming/complaint.
They should though hold details for the last 6 years, so if this was settled 4 years ago, there must be something.
Did you try requesting a Subject Access Request (SAR) with a one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order.
They must comply by the Data Protection Act (DPA) and send you what they do still hold.
Any problems you can always try contacting the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) for advice.

SAR letter template link here (remember this is optional though).

To continue to make a reclaim, you simply just complete the reclaim questionnaire (issued by the FOS) to make a reclaim to the business that set up and sold you the policy).
Keep copies for future reference as well.
Hope this helps, good luck.
