Emma mattress.
Evening. Have just replaced a 12 year old pocket sprung mattress with a Emma foam mattress. Bought it in the Black Friday sale for £389 delivered. Despite a few concerns it’s fantastic and is exceptionally comfortable and both myself and the wife haven’t suffered from any overheating which some reviews mention.

Dyson v11 absolute amazing product
Dyson v11 absolute is an amazing product. Yes it costs a lot of money. I paid £499.00 (discounted black Friday) just before Christmas so we could give whole house a good clean. We usually wash what carpets we have with vax washer. I cant believe how much dirt this picks up even when we have had two Dysons in house one of…

Vent about trains up here.
So the latest news is that the old Pacer trains are to be replaced by Easter. They were originally scheduled for replacement 20 years ago! What are they going to be replaced with I hear you ask? 35 year old Sprinter class150 thats what, no nice new trains for us! Why can't we have a fraction of the money spent on HS2 and…

HOSPEDIA bedside premium rate 0872 numbers in hospitals.
For many years, HOSPEDIA bedside telephones used telephone numbers starting 070. While these looked like mobile numbers, they were not. Numbers starting 070 are Personal Numbers. Since their introduction in 1996, these have generally cost a lot more to call than calling a UK mobile number and have been excluded from call…

Question re John Lewis
I usually buy big ticket items from John Lewis as their extended warranty is great, however went to purchase a TV (I have never made a claim) and they added £60 delivery charge to Northern Ireland. I never had to pay for delivery before. Is this a new thing? I did see the free mainland delivery in the link below. I am…

Tax fraud.
Was in a McDonald's recently where the person I was with ordered a meal. At no point were they asked if it was to eat IN or OUT. The receipt showed it as eat out even though they asked to eat in when the food arrived. Next time they specifically told the server 3 times when ordering it was eat IN. Receipt yet again showed…

I think I have been scammed on depop and paid by bank transfer.
Hi Guys, I bought a pair of trainers on depop for a Christmas present. I paid £120.00 for the trainers to someone called Sarah . I'm not sure if I can give the second name here. She told me to pay into bank account and gave me the reference as sl. S for Sarah and l for the last name. Her sort code is 20-33-51. I'm not sure…

HP Instant Ink con
I have previously sung the praises of HP Instant Ink, as I have been signed up to this service since October 2018, and have been paying £2 a month since January with the promise that I would get replacement cartridges as I needed them. All well and good. However, today my printer has stopped working - a cartridge error of…

Supermarket self serve packing.
Going to be short and sweet on this one. I'd think i probably wouldn't be in the minority but this is MSE so that one immediately gets turned on its head and becomes the opposite of the real world..... People who go to the self serve in supermarkets, bring their own bag, scan their stuff (lots of it), pay, and then proceed…

YELL Reviews - do not trust
I published a poor review on Yell. The company it concerned complained and the review was removed. I complained and justified the review so Yell reinstated it. About a month later it disappeared again. I complained again and after two weeks Yell sent me an unsatisfactory reply saying my review breached their policy.…

Sports Direct - Trainers
A pair of men's trainers were purchased on 1st August this year. They have already split at the toe. They were about £35 so cheap and no doubt made in China. I know - you get what you pay for. Is it worth paying a lot more for a pair of better made trainers - although who is to say they are better made? Perhaps wiser to…
