Every now and then, if I see a post I don't like on this forum, I will hit the Report button, and send a message to the moderators.
All I get back is an automated email from the forum system.
Have the moderators agreed with my report and taken action? Did they disagree with my report and think that the post was fine? Has the report simply disappeared into a black hole and been read by nobody?
I will never know, as the system never bothers to tell me.
Is it worth the effort of reporting posts at all?

If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I would suggest the forum staff are very busy and don’t have time to reply to every report (I would assume there are hundreds of reports a day).
If the post disappears or is amended they probably agreed with you. If it stays up in its original form then they didn’t agree.
There is actually a section on the forum for feedback. Why don’t you post this in there and see what they say?0 -

" if I see a post I don't like on this forum"
One or more persons might not like a post but many others might not perceive a problem.
It has to depend on the content someone personally dislikes?
Is your not liking a post akin to not agreeing with someone elses opinion?
There are forum rules and someone not liking a post, if it abides by those rules, will most certainly not be acted on.
I don't like lots of things but have to live with it. Too many easily offended people around these days. (my opinion)0 -
I very rarely report posts.
If I see a post that is (imho) out of order, I find it's usually disappeared anyway so someone else has reported it.
I've reported the odd post/thread on the Benefits board if they contravene MSE specific rules about that board.
I mark clearly advertising posts as :spam:
I wouldn't expect any feedback from MSE about a post that's been reported.
Why would you?
I don't think your report disappears into a black hole.
The 'system' thanks you for reporting a post in an email. If the post disappears or is amended they probably agreed with you. If it stays up in its original form then they didn’t agree.
Just move on.
ETA:
I agree with oldagetraveller.
What do you mean by 'a post I don't like'?0
