Harveys Furniture - SOGA
basically, Harveys sold us a sofa in 2013, after 6 months, it went faulty, so we again reported it, and they replaced it... and then again, went faulty, this time, they admitted it was a fault from the start and offered us a 25% "goodwill gesture" ontop of what we paid for our sofa (£934) to go choose another. We went to…

What is wrong with people?
PC Emily Rowberry said she was confronted by lots of students looking out of their windows taking photos and videos of the 20-year-old's body and expressed fears they would appear on social media before his family were informed of his death. Read more:…

PRAISE for W.B.Furniture in Lancashire and a nice surprise!
I got a nice little surprise the other week and thought I'd share! So, background. I bought a new sofa from this company W.B. Furniture a couple of weeks ago - I found their website and thought the prices looked okay if the quality was what they said it was. I'm hoping to move house with this sofa in three or four years…

Query about digital signatures
I was wondering how secure a signature is, when captured on a PDA / tablet - for example, signing for a delivery, or confirming a boiler inspection, etc.. what's to stop the person with device, or firm that supplied it, from using that signature to 'confirm' a separate made up contract, leaving you owing 000's?

Eclipse - what a complete let down
Vent part: I've just realised that the eclipse has been and gone. I did notice it was a bit dismal about an hour ago but no worse than it has been a few times over the past couple of days. (This time, the moon, the other times, thicker cloud.) I do wish the BBC would be a little more careful when they hype these things, as…

Tyreshopper.co.uk - AVOID - Worst Customer Service Ever!
Morning, thought that I'd warn others about the horrendous customer service from Tyreshopper.co.uk. I'm shocked that companies still operate this way :mad::mad::mad: Firstly, I've used tyreshopper for many years. However, it's true what they say; it's not until you have a problems that you the true measure of a…

TV vent - 'coming up', and cuttng between stories..
Police Interceptors Helicopter Heroes etc How many shows waste time with a pre-credits intro, than even more blah blah blah, before they actually get to the action? Repeating the 'coming up' phrase really gets my goat, as I think viewers have a good idea of what's on! HH quite bad too, imo, teasing several stories.. You've…

Hertz Stansted are lovely - must've caught the loveliness from the new Ryanair !
There is a refreshing loving breeze running through the likes of Ryanair and their partners - no don't laugh, it might actually be true ! I had to cancel a flight to Stansted at very short notice recently and I'd booked a Group C car through Ryanair with Hertz at the same time I bought the air ticket. I'd paid just sixty…

Numpties at checkouts
I was held up today by 2 people in the same queue who, on getting to the checkout after waiting for a couple of minutes, both only then seemed to realise that they actually had to pay *then* started rooting about in their bags for their wallet/purse. Why do people not have a bit of common sense and get their money ready…

M&S Mother's Day "funeral" bouquet
I received a gift of a Mother's Day bouquet from M&S - my daughter had ordered a cheerful bunch of pink lilies, I got a bunch of closed green/white lilies tied up with a black ribbon! As someone who's been recently bereaved it was upsetting to say the least - if not a little threatening! M&S say all Autograph bouquets come…

Europcar - Late Return
Just a heads up really for any car hirer's on the forums! I was running late dropping hire car off back at the airport, tried to call and got no response on the number I had. They apparently give a 'grace' period of 29 minutes (yes, 29 minutes - I have it in writing from them!) and after that they will charge your card…

Very.co.uk Return SLOW
Hello, I bought a computer from very.co.uk and received it fairly quickly, I turned it on and found strange (just visible) vertical lines down the left hand side of the screen. After contacting very they referred me to HP and we went through some troubleshooting and HP deemed the machine faulty and gave me a reference…

Rancom Security Ltd - Successors to SAS FIRE & SECURITY SYSTEMS LTD?
Started to get calls from these people, usual disdain about the Telephone preference scheme and a surprisingly similar script to that as used by the now defunct SAS FIRE & SECURITY SYSTEMS LTD. Dont Be a Chump Like Me - Sky Services
OK.., I've been an idiot. Lets get that clear. I phoned up sky to cancel my package.., because I hardly turn the TV on any more and my box is on the way out anyway. Needed to cut costs. I was persuaded, willingly, to sign up for the multi-room package including Sky go extra because I could use skygo on my pc. It was a very…

Vent - Shops that fail to price products
It's so annoying, there is not one store in particular who's a culprit, although Lidil and Tesco's are getting higher on the list. I know shops have thousands of items/products but surely more time could be taken to ensuring everything is priced up. I personally will not purchase an item that is unpriced.

Aldi pricing
Really annoyed with Aldi now. I buy their London dry gin on a regular basis. Its been £9.99 for ever. two weeks ago it shot up to £10.39, not happy but hey ho everything going up. Then picked up leaflet in store and they are advertising it at £9.99. I went back and had a fight with them, got my 40p back. I also took…

Warning Slimwise
Advertising apparently free trial of slimming products. Avoid like the plague - they are scammers. Unless you read Terms and Conditions very carefully - they are in very pale greyscale at the bottom of the page - they will relieve you of a lot of money. They advertise a free trial with delivery costs up front ( they say £4…
