The original price was £399 with reduction price of £319 advertised (I believed this therefore…

British Gas Homecare
After 2 years of British Gas being unreliable, e.g. taking months to service a boiler, cancelling appointments. I finally persuaded my parents(who are OAP's) to address this with the company. So far this year this contract has cost my dad £116. I phoned today to cancel and asked for a refund of all or part of the money.…

Charged £5 for taking good back to shop
Hi All I just want to have a bit of a rant and this seemed a really good place! For Christmas, amongst other things my OH bought me some 'mini' branded boot boxes (fits in the boot of my mini) to stop everything sliding around. I had been wanting them for ages but they were quite expensive so never actually bought them for…

brastop.com
ARGH! Placed an order on Wednesday, money came out on Thursday for dispatch on Thursday. Got an email this morning saying that one of the items was no longer in stock and if I wanted another item to get in touch otherwise they would consider the item cancelled in three working days. Three working days will take over a week…

thebookpeople.co.uk
I've used them lots before, but I ordered a few days before Christmas, in the afternoon, and all my books were delivered at 8pm by a very exhausted courier the next day. I bought a boxed set of Thomas the Tank books, and a boxed set of all the Lemony Snickets in hardback, plus a couple of other things and saved £150ish.…

Thumbs up to www.cheapsmells.com
Bought some perfume just before Christmas from this operation - excellent buy about 30% cheaper than Boots ie £27 against £40. Arrived via Royal Mail in a couple of days from Guernsey - sticker indicates they've pre-payed VAT and UK duty so no nasty surprises there. Would recommend and use again

Halifax Bank
I used to bank with the Halifax (only because my local TSB closed) and had an account with them for a few years but then I started to have problems in that their cash points were always broken either that or the sun shone on the screen so you couldn't see it so when I went to the counter to withdraw money I was told to use…

Advice Needed
Hi, Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this but I'm looking for some advice. We took out a hosting contract with a company in May 2006 (the company has since changed hands and is now trading under a different name) under our old company name which is now no longer trading and is no longer registered. We used the…

Thorntons
I ordered 3 boxes of chocolates last week which swiftly arrived only to find that one of the boxes was half the size of the one I wanted (on special offer for the same price). Entirely my fault for not checking what I put in my basket as I'd ordered in haste as they kept going out of stock. I emailed customer services in…

Kybotech Ltd
Just had to warn people of the company before anyone else bought from them. They are mentioned in quite a few messages/threads [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]. No review-type website has anything good to say about them. You do of course get the odd individual who seems to have had a reasonable experience, but I hasten to add,…

Lovefilm - going round in circles!
At my wits' end here! Trying to verify my account as they gave me another 3 months free trial, but I have to enter my card details. All very well and good, but when I enter my details they aren't being verified. Why? Because my name on my address and name on the card are slightly different (card has my middle initial and…

Wincanton white goods delivery service - mediocre (used by Boots Appliances)
I feel the need to vent. Please bear with me. Indesit dishwasher packed in. 3 or 4 years old. It came with the house. Lights indicated a pump problem. I replaced the pump - £25 down and still knackered. £90 for a call out - 14 days guarantee on the replaced parts! It's barely worth £100. Time for a new dishwasher. Top of…
