British Gas Homecare

After 2 years of British Gas being unreliable, e.g. taking months to service a boiler, cancelling appointments. I finally persuaded my parents(who are OAP's) to address this with the company. So far this year this contract has cost my dad £116. I phoned today to cancel and asked for a refund of all or part of the money. The woman on the phone said no way will we get a refund, however if my dad would accept a reduced payment and £30 cheque would that be acceptable. My dad still cancelled as we thought that to carry on paying for a service that does not happen is not appropriate. Anyone got any further advice?

i wouldnt phone becuase all you speak to is a person in the call centre
i would address your complaint to the cheif executive detailing execatly what has happened.
what are the terms and consditions of the homecare policy with regard to missed appointment etc.
unliekly that you will get £116.00 at all back but i think £50 - £80 should be offered by them in view of whats gone on.0 -
Hi kill bill
Have written to the customer services manager first to see what happens. If no joy then will go higher. Thanks again.0
